Dental crowns are durable dental restorations that can offer you the strong and beautiful teeth you are seeking. Even so, crowns are not invincible; they are subject to neglect, wear and tear, and injury. If you have recently broken or damaged your dental crown in Lindon, Utah, our dental team would be happy to help you. Here’s what to do:

1. Call Scott M. Healey Dentistry at 801.653.0099 and book an appointment. Dr. Scott Healey can fully restore and repair your dental crown. You’ll want to come in as soon as you possibly can, and remember to bring your crown with you.

2. While you are waiting for us to permanently place your crown, place a small piece of sugar-free gum or over-the-counter dental cement inside the crown and then guide the crown back over your tooth. If it fails to stay, keep the crown in a safe place until your appointment so you don’t accidentally lose or break it.

3. Take care of your pain. Sometimes having a broken crown can cause severe discomfort, after all. Try over-the-counter painkillers and a cold compress to the face until you can make it to our office.

If you do these things, you’ll be on your way toward a newly restored dental crown and smile in no time! All you need to do is call our office and we will be more than happy to help you. We look forward to hearing from you!
